John Sebastian Little was reputed to be the first male child born in Sebastian County on March 15, 1851.  He was the son of pioneers Jesse and Elizabeth Tatum Little. He served as prosecuting attorney, judge, and congressman over a career spanning thirty years.  He was elected as governor in 1906, but health concerns ended his service abruptly.  Greenwood’s “Bass” Little Street in named for the former governor.
